People. Never cease to amaze.

There are people who believe their stimulus checks came from the Government, from the President. Literally. The fact that they are the source, is lost on them. That amazes me.

I wonder if people saw the Great Depression coming for years before it arrived. If so, for how long? Two years, three years, did they watch the events unfold for six months? One year? Were there some people who saw nothing and then bam! Pow! "Oh no, a Great Depression is here" as they stood dumfounded in bread lines.

We are strong in America. We are resilient. We are innovative. We are different now. I do not worry about the poor economic state of America. I know, should the same fate come upon us, economic collapse into a Great Depression, we'll be fine. It can't happen today. We won't let it. We may catch it "in the nick of time." But we will act. There will be a great movement of neighbor helping neighbor. In the end, after all the debates, when we no longer see the bipartisan "he said, she said" behavior, we will take care of each other. For we are all in this together.

Our family extends far beyond the aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. Our famiy name? America. America is our family. The family name lives on.
